That’s right, ya girl went to cosmetology school.
My version of beauty school was doing perms, bowl cuts, and 1980’s updo’s. I dropped out strictly because l am not standing for ten hours a day. That was a conversation that went well with my father – who I’d BEGGED to send me after dropping out of college. I honestly don’t think I learned anything outside of bowl washing and choreographed r kelly dances, and Nicks hair agrees. The only time he’s allowed me to cut his hair I took off an extra three inches and he called him “dutch boy” for two months (lol good times). W
Want to know what my first thoughts are when Beauty School comes up now? The chemicals I inhaled every day in that classroom. While the combo of that and having Alice sent me into a organic food meets eco-conscious spiral 13 years go, I only made the hard switch to clean skincare / make up about three years ago.
My priorities? Nourishing my skin (naturally), avoiding harmful chemicals, demonstrating eco-friendly choices, cruelty-free commitment, and the full body health of my family. inside and out.
